Vision
To bring about social transformation based on Christian discipleship and Kingdom values, through theological formation of the laity.
Mission
To facilitate eventual establishment of an authentic local church by providing laity an appropriate theological formation as well as training in social teachings of the Church aiming to promote lay participation and leadership in the Church and society.
Goal
To explore folk heritage and discover culture–rooted theological and spiritual tradition and to strive for unearthing, contextualizing and inculturating the Gospel in the contextual realities of Pakistan with North-South and people’s perspective.
Objectives
- Reinforcing Mission of Jesus Christ by expressing solidarity with the poor and oppressed in their struggle for emancipation and social transformation.
- Organizing and conducting theological consultations, seminars, Bible study sessions, community awareness and theological leadership training programs.
- Preparing, publishing and making available people-oriented theological literature in national language Urdu and English.
- Supporting, collaborating and coordinating with like-minded secular and religious groups committed to the cause of interfaith harmony and emancipation of the poor and oppressed.
- Making known the voices of struggle and of global human realities and issues of the poor and the oppressed of the South in general of Asia and Pakistan in particular.
- Organizing, coordinating and providing exposure of local historical, cultural and spiritual heritage and contemporary and contextual realities of Pakistan to the members of MAP and to the visitors from international institutions and organizations.
